Combined Surgery on Gold Coast

Motherhood is an amazing experience that changes a woman’s life. It is full of milestones and opportunities for personal growth. It is a life-changing experience that requires a lot of commitment to raising healthy children and watching them thrive.

However, it is also important for new mums to take care of themselves and their bodies. Breastfeeding, pregnancy and childbirth can have long-lasting effects.

Although hormonal changes are common in pregnancy, they can be difficult to predict and control. While a diet plan can help you lose weight after pregnancy, elective surgery can be used to change the shape of your body.

WHY CHOOSE COMBINED SURGERY?

Combined surgery is an elective procedure most common in women aged between 30 and 50.

Every mother’s reaction to childbirth and child-raising is different. Combined surgery is not something to be taken lightly, however, these procedures can help change your body to how you may prefer.

Each approach to combined surgery is tailored to a woman’s unique needs, however they can include a variety of breast surgeries, arm lift and tummy tuck (abdominoplasty).

PROCEDURES FOR COMBINED SURGERY

Combined surgeries usually involve abdominal surgery (tummy tuck), with breast surgery and may include the following:

  • Breast augmentation

  • Breast lift

  • Combination of breast augmentation with a breast lift

  • Breast reduction with lift

When performed by an experienced and accredited surgeon, combined surgery as an elective plastic surgery procedure is safe and effective. Dr Hertess is well-respected for her surgical results.

STOMACH FAT REMOVAL

Most changes for new mothers are noticeable around the stomach. The developing baby changes a woman’s abdominal muscles during pregnancy.

New mothers may experience stretch marks, loose skin, and protruding abdomen from muscle separation.

C-section birth scarring may also be visible. A tummy tuck as part of a combined surgical procedure can produce favourable results.

CHANGING BREAST SIZE & SHAPE

Many new mothers experience changes to their breasts not only during pregnancy but also during the postpartum breastfeeding period.

Changes include swelling of milk glands, which replace regular tissue. These milk glands become smaller and breast tissue is lost.

This can cause breasts to drop, look less prominent, or show obvious stretch marks.

COMBINED SURGERY

Dr Hertess Plastic Surgery offers the chance to recover and revive on the Gold Coast with combined surgery.

Following surgery, it is important to allow your body to adequately rest and recover.  A confidential consultation will discuss the details of the procedure and help you understand what is involved before and after surgery.
